Front-end developer
BAM Technologies (Sep 2024 — Present)Hired onto a cross-platform team to improve the accessibility of a company-wide design system.
- Develop and maintain components and styles used by 100s of developers across the company.
- Architect a style guide to document all the elements of the design system.
- Work on internal tools, such as a CSS class search and front-end APIs, to improve developer productivity when using our system.
- Create processes for manual auditing the accessibility status of components.
UI developer
BAM Technologies (Nov 2021 — Sep 2024)Promoted to architect a design system and standarize the Airforce MyVector platform's UI
- Developed accessible UI components used by 30+ developers and act as the primary contact between developers and designers on front-end related issues.
- Updated platform dashboard UI to improve site navigation and cohesion.
- Worked with UI/UX designers to create UX standards for tooltips, modals, and more.
- Refactored platform layout used by 50+ applications to provide better UX and accessibility.
- Pushed for stricter accessibility testing to ensure Section 508 compliance.
